Bridges & Crowns

When decay, fractures or a failed metal filling threatens the life of a tooth, a crown or a bridge is one of the best forms of long-term protection. A crown is a porcelain covering designed to protect and preserve as much of your tooth as possible. If you have a missing tooth and decay on the two adjacent teeth, a bridge may be the perfect solution for enhancing your smile.
Crowns are the strongest, most versatile and durable type of restoration available in modern dentistry. Their excellent lifespan allows us to repair major cracks, protect against further decay, finalize implants and engage in endodontics (root canal). Bridges help to create complete chewing surfaces and repair the damage caused by injury or tooth loss.
We can create your crown or bridge in our laboratory according to Dr. Wall's precise specifications, using either LAVA brand 3M porcelain (ideal for chewing strength) or Empress brand porcelain (perfect for smile aesthetics).
Are you concerned about discomfort during the procedure? Dr. Wall offers a variety of options to remove your anxiety and help you relax.
Other dental options may be more conservative, but when decay threatens the life of a tooth, a crown or a bridge is one of the best forms of long-term protection.
For single crowns and bridges, Dr. Wall takes special pictures with our intraoral camera. These images help in communicating the proper shade, special characteristics and shape of the crown to our lab. Once the lab has all of the required information, we fabricate the crown or bridge without any metal whatsoever.
Some dentists use crowns or bridges made of porcelain fused to metal (PFM). However, LAVA brand porcelain is digitally scanned and manufactured to fit the precise measurements of your teeth — a level of precision that the PFM process simply cannot match.
Dr. Nicholas Wall and his staff aim to treat every patient, including you, like royalty. Now all you need is a crown! We recommend all porcelain, all the time. Schedule an office visit and we promise to have help you have a healthier, happier smile.
